Vanessa Hudgens was pretty cheery talking about her boyfriend Austin Butler on Jay Leno. The Gimme Shelter star made an appearance on the late-night show this past Wednesday, and Leno of course had to bring up her relationship.

The talk-show host teased Hudgens about her boyfriend, saying, "I saw a picture of that guy. I don't get it." The actress responded by giggling and saying, "You don't get it?"

Leno went on to show a picture of a topless Butler with abs in full view, telling her, "Look at this guy. What do you see in that guy? What is that?" Hudgens laughed, all embarrassed, and said, "Oh no. I'm so lucky he's not here because he would be terrified."

Comedian Leno kept going, and said, "Look at that big fat guy. I can't believe it," to which the brunette answered, "Stop it. Take it away! No, he's amazing."

The former High School Musical star has been dating Butler since September 2011. Hudgens actually met the actor known as the "hair god" in the Carrie Diaries while she was still with the musical show and also dating her co-star Zac Efron. They eventually broke up in December 2010, she briefly dated co-star Josh Hutcherson while making the Journey to the Center of the Earth 2 movie, and then she found the blonde hunk.

The two began their relationship very casually, though they got serious pretty fast. They are actually maintaining a long distance relationship at the moment, working in opposite ends of the country. Butler currently resides in New York, where his show is based, while Hudgens lives in Los Angeles and is busy making movies in Hollywood.

Butler has also been very supportive of his girlfriend throughout the two years of their relationship. The actor even proudly announced Hudgen's new modeling job on Twitter recently. He posted a photo of Hudgens as the new face of Bongo jeans, with a message congratulating her for bagging the post previously held by his Carrie Diaries co-star, AnnaSophia Robb.
