Actor Lee Min Ho became the new face of the Chinese Taobao, the best open market internationally.

Lee Min Ho filmed the commercial for mobile Taobao last Thursday. At the filming scene, over five thousand people have gathered to see him, and proved Lee Min Ho's international popularity.

A staff member from mobile Taobao explained the reason why Lee Min Ho was selected as a model who will represent the brand in the future. "Trust and consensus with the consumers are the most important virtues in the electronics market. To show these virtues, we selected the Korean actor Lee Min Ho, who is currently making a syndrome in China."

Taobao is an open market founded by Alibaba Group. Taobao makes over 800 million dollars in sales for an average day, and last year accumulated a record of over 160 billion dollars for the year. Taobao has over 80% market share in Chinese online market, and is the the highest revenue yielding business in the world.
