PS4 fans rejoice! Not only did Game Informer confirm that the "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" PS4 version looks better than the Xbox One edition, Metal Gear creator himself, Hideo Kojima thinks so too!

According to Game Informer, " Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes looks slightly better on the PS4 compared to the Xbox One", which Hideo Kojima thinks so as well.

Discussing the game's graphics after a hands-on playtest, Game Informer states in its latest issue that "Kojima Productions' hard work under the hood pays off in the graphics department," noting the Fox Engine's impressive lighting and the sight of "watchtowers [crumbling] to hundreds of pieces with an RPG shot" is amazing.

Game Informer later states that "Kojima notes that MGS V looks slightly better on the PS4 compared to the Xbox One, something we also noted before he mentioned it."

This information is a huge blow to Microsoft and the Xbox One as major titles like "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition", "Call of Duty: Ghosts" and "Battlefield 4" perform significantly worse on the Xbox One than PS4.

Many fans speculated that the "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" PS4 version will have superior performance against the Xbox One version but Hideo Kojima noted that might not be the case.

"The difference is small, and I don't really need to worry about it," he said, suggesting versions for Xbox One and PS4 won't be dramatically different in performance.

But we will have to wait until comparisons between the "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" PS4 and Xbox One editions to come out before we can say anything conclusive about the performance.

A Konami representative also told VideoGamer.com that they were unable to confirm the native resolution and frame rates of the two versions when contacted about any potential differences.

"Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" launches on Xbox One, PS 4, Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 18 at the US and March 20 on Japan and EU, with "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" following at a later date.
