Two popular k-drama actors attended graduation ceremonies this week for Hanyang University but they are not the only actors balancing school and work.

Jang Geun Suk, who was recently seen in "Pretty Man" and Jung Il Woo, who is currently starring in "Golden Rainbow," attended the ceremonies and each received an achievement award for their development efforts on behalf of the school.

The ceremony was attended by some other k-drama stars who previously graduated from the university, including Lee Pil Mo, who currently appears in "Emergency Couple," and Lee Chung Ah who co-starred with Jung Il Woo in "Flower Boy Ramen Shop."

These actors are not the only ones who have managed to successfully juggle getting an education with starring in dramas.

Lee Seung Gi filmed "Gu Family Book" last year and has appeared in "Noonas Over Flowers," but he also studied for his master's degree at Donguk University's Graduate School of Digital Image and Contents. He already has a bachelor's degree in international trade and commerce from Donguk University, which he managed to achieve in only four years. He decided to enter graduate school while filming "The King 2 Hearts," because he wanted to learn more about video and imaging.

Moon Geun Young has majored in Korean language and literature at Sungkyunkwan University since 2006 but has yet to graduate due to her demanding acting schedule. She is currently in her final semester, having recently finished playing the leading role in "Goddess of Fire: Jeonji."

"I completed all of my credits but my English class grades are a bit low," she said. "To graduate, I need a certification for a class and good English marks. I already completed my thesis so I will graduate when I want to."

Park Shin Hye has maintained a grade point average of 3.0 since she entered Chungang University in 2008 but she suspended her studies a few times to work on the dramas "You're Beautiful," "Heartstrings," and "The Heirs," and also to appear in the film "Cyrano Agency." She still has to complete her thesis.

" I'm very attached to my studies," said Park, who has been called a "ghost student" for her many absences. She's determined to get her degree no matter how long it takes. "I want to graduate properly."

She is currently preparing for her role in the film "The Tailors."

Kim Hyun Joong, the star of "Inspiring Generation" dropped out of high school to work and become a kpop star. But he returned to school after he made it. He enrolled in the performance planning and administration department of Chungwoon University in Chung Nam Hong Sung. The next year he enrolled at Kongju Communication Arts University to study music.

It would be easy for these actors to enjoy their success and not strive for more, but they are both smart and determined.
