With everything that has happened to Justin Bieber over the past few weeks, the last thing on his mind right now is to become the butt of all jokes by an Olympic hockey game. If you think Drake Bell's petition at the White House was absurd, this one took the icing on the cake. Well enough is enough for Justin Bieber as he had something to say on Twitter.
Justin Bieber was definitely not happy about the "Loser Keeps Bieber" joke in the Olympic hockey game between US and Canada. The electronic billboard features a photo of Bieber sandwiched between an American and a Canadian hockey player that says "Loser keeps Bieber." Man, the stakes for the Olympics are higher than I thought! This isn't the first time the company has done something like this, as other pop culture icons have their own billboards as well.
Though Justin Bieber was thrilled that Canada had beat the US team last Friday, he wasn't thrilled at all with the joke, and took to his Twitter account to tweet his frustrations. Here are the tweets below:
It all began last week in the lead-up to the Olympic hockey battles between the U.S. and Canada, amid bets between fans, commentators and even world leaders over which rival neighbor would win. But one Chicago area company took it further by erecting an electronic sign along a major expressway, threatening the losing country with having to keep the Canadian-born pop star, who currently lives in the U.S. But it didn't end there. A new sign put up by Command Transportation after the U.S.'s 1-0 loss to Canada in Friday's men's hockey semifinal appealed for a "best 3 out of 5."
Command Transportation owner Danny Zamost told The Associated Press the company was simply having "Good, clean fun," though Bieber might not see it that way.
There are also other versions of the Billboards featuring Miley Cyrus and The Chicago Cubs. Here are some below:
