Fans of the horror game franchise "Obscure" series rejoice! As they are getting a steam re-release packed with new features!
"Obscure" and its sequel "Obscure: The Aftermath" are getting a steam re-release and its release date is set for March 7, 2014!
Mighty Rocket Studio's (formerly Hydravision Entertainment) survival horror games, "Obscure" and "Obscure: The Aftermath" are really hard to find these days so it is great that they have decided to re-release the game digitally on Steam so that everyone can have the game.
The re-release of "Obscure" and "Obscure: The Aftermath" on Steam comes with a few new features such as including the option of a 16:9 aspect ratio presentation and Xbox 360 controller support. The game is being updated to work on newer operating systems as well. It is unknown if 16:10 aspect ratio will be supported.
"Obscure" was originally released last 2005 to average and good reviews, Gamespot even called it "Resident Evil High School" and praised it's fantastic graphics (at the time) and the spot on use of the "survival horror" formula.
"Obscure: The Aftermath" was released a year later after "Obscure" was released. It garnered great reviews, critics praised the co-op system and the atmosphere of the game while criticizing that it was too similar to "Obscure 1" when it comes to gameplay and it almost made no improvement or enhancements to the gameplay.
