We have been seeing more of Leonardo DiCaprio bad guy roles including his latest role in the Oscar-nominated film "The Wolf of Wall Street". In this Martin Scorsese movie, DiCaprio starred as the wealthy stockbroker Jordan Belfort, who got in trouble with the law and ended up locked in prison. During an interview with The Telegraph, the real-life Wolf of Wall Street shared some tips to the 39-year old actor on how he can portray the role better. Belfort said, "DiCaprio will just have to get stoned, stumble around like a moron and drool."

Doing bad guy roles isn't new for Leonardo DiCaprio for he has done a couple of those in the past such as con man Frank Abagnale Jr. in "Catch Me if You Can" and a cruel plantation owner Calvin Candie in "Django Unchained". When the Oscar-nominated actor read the script for the latter film, his initial reaction was "Are we going too far?" DiCaprio also shared to Vibe Magazine about his thoughts on portraying the role of Calvin Candie, "For me, the initial thing obviously was playing someone so disreputable and horrible whose ideas I obviously couldn't connect with on any level. I remember our first read through, and some of my questions were about the amount of violence, the amount of racism, the explicit use of certain language...do we need to go this far?" Knowing that this is a Quentin Tarantino movie, DiCaprio shouldn't be surprised anymore about the in-your-face imagery that the award-winning film producer is famous for. After giving himself over to the role, DiCpario admitted "Playing a bad guy opens you up to not having as many rules or restraints. It takes you to the darkest place of where you are as a person and lets you indulge in that."

Out of all the Leonardo DiCaprio bad guy roles, the actor probably can relate most to Jordan Belfort, who also came from a poor family. DiCaprio revealed to Los Angeles Times, "Who am I to talk about this? It goes back to that neighborhood. It came from the fact that I grew up very poor and I got to see the other side of the spectrum."

From hero to villain, let's find out if Leonardo DiCaprio will finally win his first Academy Award on March 2. After two decades of brilliant performances, maybe it's about time that the actor gets what he deserves. What do you think are his chances of winning?
