PC gamers who are hoping for a Metal Gear V PC version may want to start rejoicing now as just like you guys, Metal Gear creator, Hideo Kojima himself wants to see Metal Gear V on PC too!
Right now, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are confirmed only for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. But Hideo Kojima would like to see the game come to the PC as well.
According to his interview with Gamespot, Hideo Kojima talked about Metal Gear Solid V on PC:
"PC, that's my original background. I originally created PC games," Kojima said. "A long time ago I didn't want to rely on platforms to release games, so if people want it, I cannot make a formal announcement, but that is definitely something that I would like to do."
The possibility of Metal Gear V on PC is high because according to VG 24/7, Kojima has stated that Metal Gear Solid V was developed on PC then ported to consoles, so there is already a working PC version out there.
Speaking of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Hideo Kojima is attempting to really push the boundaries of videogaming narrative.
"If we don't cross that line, if we don't make attempts to express what we really want to express, games will only be games," he said.
"If we don't try to go beyond that, we won't be able to achieve what movies or novels have achieved. I didn't want to stay away from these things that could be considered sensitive. If we don't go that far, games will never be considered as culture."
"In Breaking Bad, I also see that these guys are trying to go to the limit; trying to take it as far as they can to try to get their message across. For us as well," he said.
"In games we have to go to the limit; we want to stay within this limit of how far - pushing the boundaries of conveying our message. We look around and we don't see too many games like this; that is unfortunate."
Hideo Kojima is probably talking about the "sexual violence" in the Metal Gear Solid V.
Normally sexual violence would propel a game straight into the 18+ Adults Only category, but Kojima Productions chose to suggest rather than demonstrate.
"The game includes an audio file in which a female character is sexually assaulted by male characters; while there is no visual depiction, sounds of ripped clothing and struggle can be heard," the ESRB said.
