Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's prenup negotiations are reportedly going well. The couple is almost done with their prenuptial agreement, as it has been smooth-sailing.
According to Radar Online, Kardashian will get $1 million for every year that she stays married to West, though it is capped at 10 million. The rapper will also name the reality star as his beneficiary in one of his life insurance policies valued at $20 million, and the arrangement will be for life, despite a divorce. Their Bel Air mansion will be in Kardashian's name as well, and her income from Keeping Up With The Kardashians, promotional appearances, and clothing line DASH, will be considered separate and solely hers. There are no clauses regarding custody of their daughter North, however.
The prenup will also state that the voluptuous brunette will keep all jewelry and gifts given to her by West. This most likely stems from the trouble Kardashian had with her previous marriage. Her divorce from NBA player Kris Humphries resulted in her having to return the 20.5 carat diamond engagement ring he gave her that was valued at $2 million.
Sources revealed why the couple's prenup proceedings have been trouble-free. "The entire process for the prenup for Kim and Kanye has been extremely easy, and relatively drama free. Kanye didn't even think the couple needed a prenup, and was ready to give Kim carte blanche to all of his financial assets. Yes, he loves Kim that much. There is a huge difference from Kim's prenup with Kris Humphries... the preparation of their agreement went on for several months. It was long and tedious."
Kardashian and West met in 2004 but never dated until 2012. Their baby North was born last June, and they got engaged in October. The superstar hiphop artist and the controversial bombshell are set to marry in Paris this summer.
