Prince William News 2014: The royal couple is being criticized by some social media users for being away from Prince George for so long, given his young age.

Mail Online reported that "the couple have flown to an exclusive resort on the Maldives, leaving their baby with Carole and Michael Middleton - plus his own security detail - at their Berkshire mansion.

But the decision sparked a storm on social networking sites Mumsnet and Twitter.

Critics said they were wrong to leave the young Prince for so long, while others were concerned about the extravagance of their stay only a few weeks after the whole family, including George, went to Mustique."

Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently in the Maldives for a weeklong vacation. They arrived at Cheval Blanc Randheli on Noonu Atoll, on Thursday. Packages there, including flights, can cost £6,799 a person.

Prince William who was judged by some people because of his boar hunting in Spain last month, was being questioned on how he is able to take time off from his ten-week agriculture management course at Cambridge University.

A post on Mumsnet by a mother, under the blog name louloutheshames said, "Seriously? Think this might turn public opinion against them .  .  . seems its just one long holiday for the D and D of Cambridge."

Another blogger named crazy spaniel commented, "Well they need a holiday - him to recover from the shooting holiday in Spain a couple of weeks ago, and her to recover from the Mustique holiday last month.

I think she may even have put on a posh frock and "worked" for a couple of hours in between. No wonder they're exhausted."

The Hollywood Gossip commented on the Royal Couple's action, "Parents love their children more than the world, and traveling as a family is a wonderful thing. We can all agree on this. But so is quality time as a couple.

In fact, you could argue convincingly that time away makes one even more committed to making sure we are doing the best job possible as parents.

Keeping a marriage strong and healthy, giving the grandparents some baby time and not getting burned out by parenting will benefit everyone, right?

Haters are gonna hate, especially when it comes to Prince William, Kate Middleton and their unlimited resources. But as human beings, they did nothing wrong."
