A new record has been made in world history today: a LEGO Robot has solved a Rubik's cube in just 3.253 seconds. Now that's impressive and fast!

Solving the whole Rubik's cube is hard enough for anybody, but when a machine made from a bunch of Lego bricks is able to finish the whole cube in mere seconds, then we shouldn't call them toys anymore.

The LEGO Robot, which is named "Cubestormer 3,' was made by two engineers in England named David Gilday and Mike Dobson. The Cubestormer 3 LEGO robot accordind to The Verge isn't just made out of Lego bricks; it uses motors, actuators and arms from a handful of Lego Mindstorm sets, a custom made Android app running a Samsung Galaxy S4 which provides analysis for the robot. It almost took Gilday and Dobson 18 months in finishing the machine.

Video of the Cubestormer 3 has just been seen in YouTube under the username ARMflix, here take a look.

This isn't the first time a machine solved the Rubik's cube in an impressive fashion. Back 2011, the same inventors built the Cubestormer 3's predecessor Cubestormer 2 was able to finish the cube in 5.27 seconds setting a new world record. But now it seems that record has been shattered thanks to Cubestormer 3.

So what's next for Gilday and Dobson, hopefully they make machines based on Lego parts that would make the world a more comfortable and interesting to live in.
