Kanye West pleaded no contest on Monday March 17 to misdemeanor battery against a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport according to the Huffington Post. In a special plea, the rapper maintains his innocence. West did not attend the court hearing and entered the plea through his attorney. The soon to be husband of Kim Kardashian was sentenced to two years of probation, 24 sessions of anger management therapy, as well as 250 hours of community service.

West was charged with misdemeanor counts of battery and grand theft after he was involved in an altercation with photographer Daniel Ramos back in July. The rapper did not reach a civil settlement with the paparazzo, and his plea cannot be used against him in a civil lawsuit. Ramos claimed West punched him in an unprovoked attack and wrestled his camera to the ground during the scuffle. Ramos is suing West and attended Monday's hearing accompanied by his lawyer, Gloria Allred.

West was previously arrested back in September 2008 after a scuffle with paparazzi at LAX. However the cases were dismissed after West completed anger management treatment and agreed to pay the photographers for broken equipment.

Earlier this year, West reached a civil settlement with a man who accused him of assault in a medical office in Beverly Hills. The Los Angeles County district attorney's office declined to file charges. On January 13, the 18-year-old man used a racial slur in an argument with Kim Kardashian, according to a document prepared by a prosecutor. When Kardashian called her fiancee, West, the rapper came to the building and attacked the man in a chiropractor's office.
