EA released the first actual gameplay trailer for their upcoming UFC game, EA Sports UFC, and it features some extremely impressive visuals and gameplay mechanics.
This is EA's second attempt at getting into the mixed martial arts game. The company's first game was titled EA Sports MMA. It was a fairly well received first effort from the company that focused on utilizing similar stick controls that was featured in their Fight Night series.
Following the demise of THQ, EA swooped in to grab up the UFC license and shortly thereafter announced their own take on the sport with the upcoming EA Sports UFC.
From the looks of things, EA is doing a good job with the game. Judging from the gameplay videos, the combat looks smooth and realistic and the damage system looks great and it should be because in their behind-the-scenes videos they actually scanned each fighter for to get their looks just right and have them do their signature moves as reference.
EA sports is really pushing the limits on the PS4 and Xbox One with EA Sports UFC as evidenced by it looking smooth even though it is only running at 1080p 30fps.
EA Sports UFC is set for release this Spring 2014 for the Xbox One and PS4.
