MBC drama "The Great Jang Geum" Season 2 will be produced.

MBC staff member "The Great Jang Geum" has been getting ready to be broadcast in October. In the drama currently broadcast, "Empress Ki" and the follow up "Triangle" and "Midnight Diaries" will be a Monday/Tuesady drama.

It seems like the dream team of "The Great Jang Geum" will gather together as well. Writer Kim Young Hyun who wrote "The Great Jang Geum" will be writing and Lee Young Ae, who was the object of interest, is likely to be in the drama

Lee Young Hae said, "We're looking positively into the appearance in "The Great Jang Geum"." If Lee Young Ae verifies appearance in "The Great Jang Geum", it will be the first time in nine years that she will be in a drama. Lee Young Ae was recently in photo shoots and documentaries as she became the object of interest in the public.

Before this, the president of MBC Kim Jong Gook said in his annual address, "Let's produce "The Great Jang Geum Season 2" and start a second Korean Wave" as he continuously expressed his desire to produce "The Great Jang Geum 2".

"The Great Jang Geum" was a drama that Lee Young Ae starred in in 2003 and was very popular and afterwards, it was aired in 90 countries.
