Katy Perry seems to have moved on to a different musician after she broke up with John Mayer in late February. Perry went on a date with rapper Riff Raff (born Horst Christian Simco), whom James Franco's "Spring Breakers" character was based on. The singer uploaded a photo to Instagram in which she's seen standing next to a smiling Riff Raff last Thursday, March 20. The photo is captioned it: "TBT to when I went on a date with Riff Raff aka @jodyhighroller also, regram!" Riff Raff posted the photo of the two of them the previous day, which he captioned: "ON A DATE WiTH KATY PERRY SHE iS PURDY.

The rapper told TMZ that he and Perry went to Skrillex's party; they ate some sushi and had some drinks, and went bowling. "An average date," he said. Perry is currently in Belgium but according to the Riff Raff, they might get together soon for "round two."

Mayer and Perry broke up last month due to fundamental differences. "They're two very strong-willed people," a source close to Mayer told PEOPLE. "Despite caring about each other very much and wanting to make it work, they are, at their core, quite different." Additionally, Perry had just embarked on her Prismatic World Tour, making it difficult to maintain the relationship. "She's a smart girl. She knows no relationship can survive that kind of distance and strain, and she's not going to slow down now when she's at the top of her game," said the source.

Perry was previously married to comedian Russell Brand for about a year before calling it quits in December 2011.
