Gwyneth Paltrow Chris Martin Split: Paltrow announced on her Goop website over a week ago that she and Martin were "conscious uncoupling" after ten years of marriage.

Report says that the couple had been at odds for some time. People magazine reported that several friends of the couple said that the two were in an 'open' relationship, on and off, before their announced break up.

A source told the magazine, "They have been on and off for many years. The marriage was falling apart."

According to E! News, Paltrow 'was rumored to have spent quality time with South Florida billionaire Jeffrey Soffer in 2008, after attending the reopening of his Fontainebleau hotel at the time.'

A source told People magazine that the award winning actress reportedly "was staying at Jeff's house for quite a while." However, "something might have come from it had she been single. But she wasn't." Soffer declined to remark to the magazine.

According to E! Online, 'there's also been assumption that she's cozied up to Glee producer Brad Falchuk and entertainment attorney Kevin Yorn. Falchuck declined to comment to the latest rumors, while Yorn denied the allegations to E! News last month.'

Martin 'has also been the subject of multiple cheating allegations.

There's been buzz that he's romanced Kate Hudson, Kate Bosworth and Helena Christensen all during his more than decade-long marriage.

Martin's rep slammed Star magazine's 2009 claim that he made out with Bosworth at an unnamed event in front of other party guests, saying that the story was "entirely untrue."' as reported in E!

A source told US Weekly, "Gwyneth would snipe at Chris and say things to him like 'You're such a moron,'"

"(Paltrow) would totally make fun of the way he ate and what he ordered when they ate out. It was like living with a bossy school teacher or etiquette coach. He just took it."

Despite the split, the used-to-be couple remained as friends.

Mail Online reported that the duo seem "happy and calm" with their children Apple and Moses as they arrive on the Bahamas Islands last Sunday.

'Following their multiple-day stay in Eleuthera, the source said, "Chris was wearing a hat and Gwyneth was casual in a white t-shirt," noting that "they drove right up to their private jet with the kids in tow. Once they touched down, they presumably had access to Hill and McGraw's 15,000-sq. foot abode,' Radar Online reported.
