Shameless' Season 4 finale "Lazarus" happened last night. Frank's awake and no longer in a post-operation amnesiac state. He wakes up and learns that he's married with five Native American kids. Frank has a few things to get used to now that he's back to normal.

Meanwhile at the Gallagher house, Lip finds Chuckie sleeping in Carl's room, as well as Bonnie in Carl's bed. Carl reassures Lip that they are not having sex because Bonnie doesn't want to, hers mom and a biker gang or something. Oh dear. Debbie and Carl want to visit Fiona in jail, which is three hours away each way. Lip is overloaded with homework and well, Gallagher Home work. Amanda shows up in her BMW and just like a clown car, all of Bonnie's siblings, Lip, and Amanda all pile in.

At jail, Fiona is already getting some unwanted female attention. "Happy birthday," says her new friend and leaves a pill on her bed. "Make the day go easier." Fiona is tempted to take this pill, although God knows what it is.

The big shocker: a post-credit scene reveals that Steve/Jimmy (Justin Chatwin), who was murdered off-screen by Brazilian mobsters at the end of Season 3, is alive and well and back in Chicago. Steve/Jimmy is now Jack. The scene showed Steve/Jimmy/Jack pull up to the Gallagher house with an unnamed woman (Dollhouse's Dichen Lachman), who asks him if he wants to go inside. "No, not tonight," he says, before driving off as the screen cuts to black.

Apparently even the cast of "Shameless" didn't know that Jimmy/Steve was coming back. Emmy Rossum tweeted, "Got the 411 from @Justingchatwin & our producers. They flew him 2 Chicago & put him in another hotel so noone would know!#sneaky #SHAMELESS." After Jimmy/Steve's death offscreen in season 3, executive producer John Wells confirmed his death saying, "He has done great work, but that character was coming to an end." Emmy Rossum said his departure was "incredibly emotional, like losing a part of your family. I shed a couple of tears in my trailer." Shameless will return for season 5 on Showtime in 2015.
