Here's the latest scoop in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie, two actors are given the role to voice Leonardo and Master Splinter in film; one "Jackass" star and the other a heavy phobic detective. Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub lend their voices in the film and a look at both Leonardo and Splinter in the TMNT mythos.

According to Deadline, Paramount had always been open to the possibility of changing the voice component, and the actors hadn't been guaranteed that their voices would appear in the final cut.

Known for his crazy stunts in MTV and in the Jackass films, Johnny Knoxville will voice the leader and older brother of the turtles, Leonardo. In the TMNT mythos Leonardo was considered the best and most disciplined student of Master Splinter. Leonardo is a devoted practitioner of ninjitsu and believes in fighting honorable in the name of the art. He takes charge of the team and often butt-heads with Raphael in certain situations but in the end he gets the job done. He is known for wearing a blue bandana and using twin ninjato.

While Pete Ploszek plays his physical aspects, Johnny Knoxville will provide the VO for Leonardo, so how will the fans react to him voicing Leo? We'll find out more soon enough.

"Monk" star Tony Shalhoub will voice Master Splinter in the film. Master Splinter is the mutated Rat ninja master/adopted father of the ninja turtles. He has trained the turtles in the art of ninjitsu and at the same time a wise father figure for them. It is hinted in the film that Master Splinter will have a Yoda-like personality and TMNT fans can't wait to see what Master Splinter looks like in the film or possible hint a new trailer featuring him. The physical actions of Master Splinter will be played by Danny Woodburn.
