Nokia Lumia 930 will be the flagship phone for the Windows Phone 8.1 OS.
Earlier this month, Stephen Elop, Nokia's former CEO and now Microsoft's Executive Vice President for Devices, appeared during Microsoft's Build Developer Conference in San Francisco, California to present the Lumia 930.
The Finnish company's new smartphone has a 5-inch ClearBlack OLED display that provides screen readability even under the sun and has a super sensitive touch screen.
Its 20MP PureView front camera will give you high definition shots when you take photos or videos.
Audio quality when doing a video recording will also be remarkable due to the four directional microphones with Surround-Sound.
Inside the handset is a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. According to Elop, "We [Nokia] have built the Lumia 930 for absolute speed and performance."
Interestingly, since the Lumia 930 will run on Windows Phone 8.1, it will also be one of the first phones to carry the digital assistant "Cortana."
Cortana is Windows' answer to Apple's Siri and Android's Google Now.
Also introduced during the conference are low-cost smartphones Lumia 630 and Lumia 635. They will likewise carry the latest operating system from Windows but cheaper in cost.
The release of Nokia's newest Lumia phones is an attempt to have a bigger market share in the smartphone battle presently dominated by iPhones running on Apple's iOS and Samsung handsets operating on Android.
The Lumia 930 will be available in Europe summer this year with an estimate price of $599. There is no word yet if it will be sold in the United States.
