Miley Cyrus News 2014: The 21-year-old singer could be in dispensary for another three weeks because of an "extreme allergic reaction" to an antibiotic, her representative said Thursday. Her illness disturbed her "Bangerz" tour when she was admitted to a Kansas City hospital Tuesday.

According to a statement sent to CNN by Cyrus' representative "Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour in N.C. a week ago. She was prescribed the antibiotic Cephalexin which she has now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to. This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor's care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans."

CNN said that the statement did not specifically say it, but it implied that her upcoming shows over the next week, including Nashville; Louisville, Kentucky; Philadelphia; Uniondale, New York; and Connecticut, would be off.

The Bangerz star Tweeted to fans Thursday morning that she is "over the hospital," along with a photo of her lying in bed. She added: "can't quit crying i wanna go back on tour. im meant to be onstage performing for y'all ... not laying in a hospital bed."

Doctors ordered Miley Cyrus to stay in the hospital second day after her admission. The singer tweeted Wednesday, forcing her to cancel a second show, "the hospital is sayin i wont b released today therefore Im not going 2 make it 2 St Louis. Im so sorry but somethings are outta my control."

On her first day in the hospital, the singer is saying "mizzzzzeraaabbblleeee," adding, "Hospital TV is wacccckkkkkkk!!!!!#wherestheappletv"

According to CNN, the singer told fans she would have to cancel her "Bangerz" tour concert at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis set for Wednesday night.

"I can't get a hold of my team because it is so early so I want to be the one to tell my fans especially the ones trekking to get there(tbc)" one tweet said.

Her Tuesday night concert at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri, was cancelled when she was hospitalized that afternoon, according to a statement from the arena.

"Cyrus has been hospitalized for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics and has been placed on medical rest by her doctors. She will not be able to perform as scheduled," the statement said.

"Kansas I promise Im as (heartbroken) as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with yall makes me feel s--ttier than I already do," she posted in a Twitter message to fans Tuesday afternoon.

Cyrus tweeted including a photo of her in the hospital bed wearing a gown while holding a green octopus toy infront of her face, "Mr. Octopussy & some amazing Drs are taking good care of me."

CNN reported that Cyrus fell ill with the flu earlier this month, causing the cancellation of a concert in Charlotte, North Carolina.
