Amanda Seyfried will be joining the star-studded cast of the upcoming movie "Peter Pan" also starring her Les Miserables co-star Hugh Jackman! The 28 year old Seyfried will be taking on the role of Mary while Jackman is set to play the part of the pirate Blackbeard. Garrett Hedlund will be joining the cast as Hook, Rooney Mara is playing Tiger Lily, and newcomer Levi Miller will be playing the title role of Peter Pan.
According to Variety, the film will take on the classic story of Peter Pan, which is set during WWII and will "follow an orphan who is kidnapped by pirates and brought to Neverland, where he discovers he's destined to save the land from the pirate Blackbeard." Jack Charles, Taejoo Na, Nonso Anozie, Kathy Burke, Kurt Egyiawan, Lewis MacDougal and newcomer Leni Zieglmeier have also joined the cast. Joe Wright ("Anna Karenina") is set to direct, and Jason Fuchs has penned the script. Greg Berlanti, Paul Webster and Sarah Schechter are producing.
Seyfried, who is repped by Innovative Artists, will be seen next in Seth MacFarlane's "A Million Ways to Die in the West," which will hit theatres on May 30, 2014. The movie is a American western comedy film produced and directed by Seth MacFarlane and written by MacFarlane, Alec Sulkin, and Wellesley Wild. It also stars Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Giovanni Ribisi, Sarah Silverman and Neil Patrick Harris. "A Million Ways to Die in the West" is set in 1882 in Arizona, and is about Albert (MacFarlane), a shy sheep farmer who lacks courage, who loses his girlfriend (Seyfried) after he withdraws from a duel. He meets another woman (Charlize Theron) who helps him discover his bravery and confidence. Albert soon realizes the true potential of his bravery when the woman's spouse (Liam Neeson), an infamous criminal, demands payback.
