Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 new trailer shows a better look at the turtles; Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo, and their nemesis The Shredder. Plus, rumors have circulated that April O'Neil's father in the movie is the Ninja Turtles sensei Master Splinter! Is this true?
The TMNT new trailer is more or less an extended version the first movie trailer. It has the same opening dialogue and scenes from the first trailer, but new footage were added in the trailer that shows more of our heroes in a half-shell, and their arch enemy the Shredder. Photos of them were posted throughout the internet, and this is what they look like below.
The Michael Bay definitely gave the ninja turtles a new look, which matched their personality for example Donatello, being the smart one and techno whiz of the group sports a pair of glasses and a backpack filled with all sorts of machinery including a google like visor, CCTV camera etc. Leonardo on sports Japanese like motif being shinobi ninja and all. Raphael sports a more aggressive get up that says "I'll kick your ass any time," and Michelangelo being the most fun loving and happy-go-lucky of the bunch, had a more surfer dude qualities judging from his puka shell necklace and bracelets. The Shredder on the other hand is more menacing than ever with many razor spikes on his armor.
In other news, rumors have been buzzing around that the father of Megan Fox's character April O'Neil in the movie, is actually the ninja sensei/adopted father of the turtles Master Splinter. This rumors were claimed by a website called Cosmic booknews as they stated that a certain post from 4Chan that Master Splinter is April's dad, and some hints on the origins of the ninja turtles.
"April O'Neil's father IS Splinter. Or at least, is now. "Mac" O'Neil seems to be his real name. He barely remembers April, instead the mutagen-infused martial arts side of him takes over. Strange. In any case, he's there, lurking under the TCRI building, just in time to save the newly mutated Turtles and take them under his wing. There's some pretty long training sequences where they basically refuse to conform and try to rebel against Splinter's teachings. "You must take this gift, thisopportunity, and become heroes for the people of this city!!!" Lame."
The first trailer hinted that April's father and the Shredder were working on a way to create heroes of their own and that might be clue if whether, or not Splinter is April's dad and their reason of Splinter's falling out with the Shredder.
TMNT movie will be release on cinemas o August 8, 2014 and it stars Megan Fox, Johnny Knoxville, Pet Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, Tony Shalhoub, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, Minae Noji, Whoopi Goldberg, and Abby Elliot.
