It was recently announced that in Star Wars 7, Mark Hamill returns as Luke Skywalker! Since Mark is in a "reprising" mood, could he reprise his most famous voice acting gig by voicing the Joker in Batman: Arkham Knight?
It has been hinted that Joker would return in Batman: Arkham Knight, es you've read that right, Joker will return in Batman: Arkham Knight but how can this happen? It seems that in Batman: Arkham Knight the "Joker returns" scenario will happen but it's different from what you think.
Rocksteady has officially stated that Joker is dead as seen in the ending in Arkham City, however they continued to say that the story of Arkham knight is how would Gotham be if the Joker is gone. They continued to say that Joker is going to be referenced left and right though out the game.
It has been rumored that Joker will make an appearance via Flash backs and through a "dream sequence" when Batman gets intoxicated by Scarecrow's fear toxin.
Fans are also not ruling out a possibility that the secret identity of the "Arkham Knight" is Joker himself.
And of course, anyone waiting for the release of Batman: Arkham Knight to be released in 2014 may now have to wait a bit longer as the Batman: Arkham Knight release date may have been delayed to 2015!
Batman: Arkham Knight was said to be coming out towards the end of 2014, but now it seems that the game could be delayed and we may not see it arrive until 2015.
It seems that a DLC all access panel at Wondercon has made it known to the audience that Batman: Arkham Knight will not be making its way out during 2014 as it is now a 2015 project.
On the official site for the game it does say that it will be coming out in 2014, so this could mean that the statement about the delay was a mistake, or perhaps the website hasn't been update yet, if the delay is a recent thing.
Could it be that Rocksteady is willing to put off the dialogue recording of the game until Mark Hamill is done doing his thing in Star Wars 7? Since Star Wars 7 has been announced to start production this May, Mark Hamill could be done with his scenes by Q4 of 2014 and he could record his lines then.
Rocksteady have not commented on any of the rumours surrounding the possible delay of Batman: Arkham Knight.
For now we will have to keep our eyes and ears open for official confirmation.
