Rihanna's new album will be released on Jay-Z's Roc Nation according to Complex magazine; the singer has left her longtime label Def Jam to join the in-house imprint at Shawn "Jay Z" Carter's management company Roc Nation. Rihanna will be a frontline artist on Roc Nation's label, which is distributed by the Universal Music Group. However, the 26-year-old singer's next album, which will be her first since 2012's Unapologetic, will still be distributed by Def Jam. Rihanna has released a new album almost every year in the past four years, but did not release an album in 2013.

This isn't the first time Rihanna has worked with Jay-Z. Back in 2009, she was a guest vocalist on "Run This Town," Jay Z and Kanye West's single on his Atlantic Records-distributed album The Blueprint 3. Weeks prior to dropping her fifth solo album Loud in 2010, Rihanna announced that she had enlisted the managerial services of Jay Z and Roc Nation. Jay was a featured artist on the title track of Rihanna's sixth album Talk That Talk which was released back in 2011.

Rihanna's new album will be a concept album based around the upcoming animated DreamWorks film 'Home,' according to Variety magazine. Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of DreamWorks Animation, announced the news during the company's latest quarterly earnings call. Katzenberg stated that Rihanna, who also stars in 'Home,' will perform new songs. He did not provide any titles of tracks or the album's release date. 'Home' is set for release on November 26 of this year. The 3D movie is about a group of aliens that escape their enemies by hiding on Earth. The film is based on author Adam Rex's 2007 children's book The True Meaning of Smekday and was originally called 'Happy Smekday! Rihanna stars in the film as teenager Gratuity "Tip" Tucci. 'Home' also stars Jennifer Lopez, Steve Martin and Jim Parsons.
