While the rest of us are waiting for the new Transformers film to come out, a huge number of gamers can finally have the thrill of the upcoming series a few days prior to the movie premiere, as their newest game, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, will be released on June 24. The release date has been confirmed by Polygon.
The game will be officially released in multiple platforms: PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, PC and on the handheld console Nintendo 3DS.
GameStop has been accepting pre-orders for US while EB Games handle the pre-orders for Australia. Excluding the 3DS version of the game, players will also receive the Weathered Warrior Pack DLC, which includes new Decepticons Thundercracker and Skywarp and new weapons - the Electro Bolter and Glass gas Cannon, have been added as well. The added weapons can be used for campaign and multiplayer modes while the new Decepticons will appear in Escalation survival mode.
As for the actual film, this is titled Transformers: Age of Extinction and the movie will premiere in cinemas on June 27. This is already the fourth instalment of Michael Bay's Transformers film series, starring Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz.
