The new Titanfall DLC features new maps, Titan customization and the release date has been confirmed along with the photos and art works from the "Expedition" pack. So Titanfall players, are you ready to know what's new in the new DLC for the game? Let's find out.
The new Titanfall DLC Expedition pack will be released this May 2014. The Expedition pack includes new maps for the game which includes the Runoff, Swampland, and War games. The Runoff features concrete canals filled with water and trash below, and upper levels that are cleaner and more industrial. The map is essentially an "experiment" to make a challenging multi-layered small map with choke points, but still allow the less-mobile Titans "enough pathing options" so that they don't feel "constrained or limited." Key to the map for players are the trenches located below the three main buildings. According Geoff Smith, one of the deveolpers from Respawn described these trenches as the "central artery of the entire map."
Smith added that.
"If your Titan falls down into these trenches, you will have to travel back to either end of the map to find a ramp back up."
"The trenches also serve to help you escape quickly when your Titan gets into an unwinnable fight."
In Capture the Flag mode, the trenches are also essential in helping Pilots move between flags rapidly, since the flag bases are situated at both ends of the main trench path. Ultimately, Runoff is a "pretty fun level that plays very differently in each game mode."
Another feature of the Expedition DLC pack is that players can now customize their titan with decals, allowing for a flourish of personality as they stomp through enemy ranks. Also included are player hash tags, which can be used as another way to identify, meet and group with other players.

The Expedition DLC will cost $9.99 at release, or players can get it as part of the $24.99 season pass.
