Examniner.com highlighted that one of the features that has been announced for the next-generation port is the ability to transfer saves from "Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition." The Xbox One game is said to include bigger worlds as well as some visual enhancements such as a higher native resolution support.
In a report by Alpha Wired, they predicted that the next-generation system will come with a more powerful GPU as well as extra system memory when compared to the two current-generation consoles. Last March, IGN disclosed that Microsoft's Phil Spencer said that the Xbox One version is "ever close" to being completed. "I talked to [4J Studios] last night," Spencer said. "They feel really good about the progress that they're making. It's their game, and it'd be Mojang's game. We graciously host it on our platform."
"But unlike on 360 where they had never been on console before and the developer relationship, I'll say, was very tight from the beginning, this is something that's really in their hands now," Spencer continued.
"They're a full-fledged developer in every sense. They control the [release] date of that, but I'll tell people that we're getting really close. I talked with Notch [aka Mojang founder Markus Persson] last night, and they're really excited about the quality."
If quality output is what holding Minecraft Xbox One Release date longer than usual, then let's all cross our fingers that it will be worth it.
