Johansson recently spoke to USA Today about her fame. "When I was first becoming more publicly recognizable, I was probably about 18 or 19 and that was 10 years ago - I look at kids that are 18 or 19 now and coming into the spotlight, that would be excruciating. I feel very fortunate that I was able to have a bit of a smoother transition into my young adulthood without having people videotaping me," said Johansson.
"It seems much more complicated now. If you're constantly feeling like you're being hunted, that's going to drive you nuts. You have to be wise about the choices you make."
