"[He] was really excited," he revealed. "It was the first thing he's ever been excited about in my career ever! Now I'm cool, finally."
Phifer recently spoke to ScreenRant about his character in the movie Divergent, saying, "I play Max, the leader of the Dauntless factor. He's a bit of a mystery in this first installment. We don't know what his motivations are. You know there's something going on. He's in cahoots with Kate [Winslet's character Jeanine Matthews] and something is happening but we don't really know yet and so I'm looking forward to the second installment."
Phifer will be reprising his role as the leader of the Dauntless faction in the second film adaptation, Insurgent, which is due to be released next year.
