Emma Roberts is on the cover of the May 2014 issue of Elle Canada. The "American Horror Story" actress talks about not getting any acting advice from famous aunt, Julia Roberts. She also spoke with E! recently about her 'awkward' kiss with James Franco in her upcoming movie "Palo Alto."
Roberts opened up to Elle Canada about whether her aunt, Julia Roberts, offered up any tips on acting.
"No," Emma replied. "No one said anything to me about acting because they hoped it would just be a phase. But I kept doing it." However, despite not getting any advice from her famous aunt, Roberts pushed forward with wanting to be an actress. "I've always been very opinionated. That's what comes from being raised by a single mother," she said. Her parents Kelly Cunningham and actor Eric Roberts split up soon after her birth.
"My mom always instilled confidence and told me to have an opinion and to educate myself. But I definitely have my days."
She added, 'I was crying yesterday because I jumped on the trampoline and sprained my foot and was feeling nervous about the shoot today and got some bad news. I was sitting with my foot up, icing it, and being so upset. Then I woke up today and was like, "Let's do it differently. There are days when your hair is looking great and you feel determined-then the next day you're like, "My horoscope's bad, my hair's bad, I don't want to get out of bed.""
The "We're The Millers star" is rumoured to be engaged to her boyfriend of two years, actor Evan Peters.
Roberts spoke to E! about kissing James Franco at the Hollywood premiere of her film "Palo Alto" earlier this week. "It wasn't [awkward], because James is so lovely and he didn't make it weird. It wasn't weird, but there was definitely a point where you're like, 'How much longer until you say cut?'"
She added, "What people don't realize is people are always like, 'Oh, you got to make out with James Franco!' I'm like, 'Yeah, and 30 people stood there and watched!' It's so not romantic at all."
