Alec Baldwin Arrested For Being Arrogant? ‘30 Rock’ Actor Goes On Twitter Rant, Calls Out New York Cops For ‘Carnival of Stupidity’

Alec Baldwin was arrested Tuesday morning for biking the wrong way and because of this, the "30 Rock" actor went off on a Twitter rant as he called out New York City officials and the police department for "carnival of stupidity."

He called the arrest on his Twitter account as "a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign."

His Twitter rant continued: "Officer Moreno, badge number 23388, arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave ... Meanwhile, photographers outside my home ONCE AGAIN terrified my daughter and nearly hit her with a camera. The police did nothing."

His latest Twitter rant, however, did not follow through on his earlier threat to leave New York because he felt that he's being unfairly treated in the tabloids.

Alec Baldwin was arrested but released before noon, the New York Timesreported. The publication also said that bikers going the wrong way are not uncommon in NYC and in most times, officers just turn the other way or write a ticket then move on.

The reason Alec Baldwin was arrested was because he was being arrogant and belligerent, a police source told ABC News.

This isn't the first time that Alec Baldwin was arrested. In August last year, the "30 Rock" actor was also brought to the police station when he wrestled a photographer in New York street on a busy day. He and the photographer were released after they settled the matter, said TMZ.

The "30 Rock" actor's run-ins with the law are heavily documented. In 2007, he verbally abused his daughter over voice mail, then he was kicked off the plane for not turning off his cell phone, then last year he filed a case for stalking against a Canadian actress.
