Apple iWatch speculation on price, concepts, features and release dates has been ongoing for some time and is slated for release in September right along with the iPhone 6.

A number of smart watches are already in the market, such as Pebble along with watch designs from rival smartphone makers including Sony smartwatch 2 and Samsung Galaxy Gear . Some analysts feel that if the Cupertino firm does not jump on the wearable watch bandwagon sometime soon, the iWatch concept design could be outdated.

Earlier reports suggested Apple was working on curved screen smart watches after the New York Times' Nick Bilton quoted sources familiar with the story. Meanwhile rumors of an end to sapphire supply were also a concern since both the iPhone 6 and the iWatch would be using them for display screens, offering better protection and clarity than Corning Gorilla Glass.

Most reports have confirmed that an Apple iWatch Concept Design is in the works, but nothing concrete has been unveiled. One report said that the iOS-based wearable device is made to curve neatly wrapping the user's wrist, a Apple iWatch Concept Design and form-factor that will set it apart from the competition - primarily from Google and the Pebble smartwatch, already a major in the wearable device scene.

According to Bolton, "Such a watch would operate Apple's iOS platform, two people said, and stand apart from competitors based on the company's understanding of how such glass can curve around the human body."

If Apple wanted to go all out with its features, it could have Siri offering walking instructions while users were wearing the iWatch on the street.

The most recent rumors identify Nike as collaborating with Apple after abandoning its own project to make popular Nike fitness bands worn by Apple's man at the helm, CEO Tim Cook.

Although details of a price are not available, Sony SmartWatch 2 is slated for release in September with a price tag of $250. If that's the case, your iWatch could cost you between $300 - $370 a release date for the wearable has been penned for October. Nonetheless, reports have tapped a release date as early as August for a combined launch along with the iPhone 6.

There is also every reason to believe that the concept behind the Apple iWatch will be introduced during the WWDC 2014, when Apple developers meet to have a peek at Apple's latest products.
