Nick Diaz news is out this week and the former UFC welterweight contender spoke about Shogun Rua's recent mugging in Brazil.

The 30-year old fighter who still remains "semi-retired" from mixed martial arts competition recently spoke to PopCandiesTV about the robbery incident involving the former UFC light heavyweight champion.

"That's f***** up," Diaz replied bluntly. "He's on some real s***. They put a gun to your forehead and rob you."

Nick Diaz has always portrayed the bad boy persona throughout his entire mixed martial arts career. He, along with his brother Nate, shares the same philosophy about fighting, and that is showing no respect towards the person whom they are about to beat up.

For them, no mercy should be shown towards the other person whose intention is to beat them up as well.

Nick Diaz also grew up in Stockton, California, which was considered as the 10th most dangerous city in the United States in 2012, reporting 1,417 violent crimes per 100,000 persons.

Growing up in a place like Stockton has made Nick Diaz one of the toughest fighters in the game today. His exposure in a tough, violent community has brought him a huge amount of success.

But for him, trying to fight off robbers at gunpoint is still not a very smart idea.

"You might as well shoot me," Diaz answered in jest. "Or you better start slapping me until I feel like taking my f****** clothes off."

Brazil is considered as one of the most dangerous places in the world, both for tourists and locals alike, and the fact that robbers won't spare anyone, even a professional fighter like Shogun Rua, is a living proof to it.

The said fact alone has already brought hesitation to Nick Diaz's potential travel plans to Brazil, and even Mexico.

"I won't go to Mexico, I don't go to Brazil," Diaz quipped. "I hear too much stories."
