Kingdom Hearts fans rejoice! Kingdom Hearts 3 is rumored to be weeks away from its release date as Squared Enix confirms a special E3 2014 announcement regarding the third instalment of the game and new features and characters include a Keyblade level-up system, Iago, and Gilgamesh.
The hype of E3 2014 has just gotten higher as many rumors of Kingdom Hearts 3 updates have been growing within several internet game forums and social media websites. Several sources hinted that Kingdom Hearts 3's release date will be weeks away and fans are curious to know if Kingdom Hearts 3 will show up in E3 2014.
Square Enix game producer Shinji Hashimoto revealed several details of Kingdom Hearts 3.
"We would like to keep it [Kingdom Hearts 3 release date] secret. It's just only a few months from now. I'm pretty sure you will be surprised."
"Actually not only do we have June, but there will be many events from now on such as San Diego Comic-Con, Tokyo Game Show, and others."
Square Enix has already confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix release date announcement will be in E3 2014. Could Hashimoto planned to announce the released date Kingdom Hearts 3 in E3 2014 as a surprise for the fans?
"While nothing has been confirmed by Square Enix, the Kingdom Hearts community believe that it will be this year. After all, the game developer didn't write off that possibility as unlikely. The fans went on a discussion thread and revealed their ideal date if Kingdom Hearts 2.5 comes this year," Monitoring Crunch reports.
"Many fans agreed that the month of October or November will be the likeliest period where the game gets released. Of course, the fans would prefer it to be during summer as they wish to playthe during the school holidays."
Meanwhile, new features and characters for the game have been revealed. It was reported by Gameranx that Iago from Aladdin will return to the game as Gilbert Gottfried tweeted about it by saying "Iago the Parrot squawks again for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts video game". This also hints that Agrabah will be included in the game, although it's not much of a surprise since Agrabah has been featured in most Kingdom Hearts games.
Another character hinted in the game is Gilgamesh from the Final Fantasy games as several fan pages hinted that Gilgamesh will serve as a villain/boss in Kingdom Hearts 3 and is believed to be an evil keyblade wielder just like Master Xehanort.
Lastly, a new game feature for Kingdom Hearts 3 involves leveling up Sora's keyblade from its stats and abilities to its many transformations such as guns, swords, shields and many more. We'll likely see that new features once Kingdom Hearts 3 is revealed in E3 2014.
