However, people were surprised to see Ryan Gosling walk the red carpet with Christina Hendricks instead of Eva Mendes. The "Mad Men" star is also included in the cast of "Lost River" so there's a reason for them being together.

Christina and Ryan first worked together in the movie "Drive" back in 2011. She said, "He had casually mentioned when were on Drive that he'd like to direct me someday, and I thought that was really nice."
Christina also shared, "We had a wonderful two weeks before we even got to set where the whole cast came to Detroit and we were able to do rehearsals with one another." She added, "He's the one that made that happen. That's a luxury, you don't get that rehearsal time very often."
The Tennessee-born actress revealed why she accepted Ryan's project. She said, "I love anything that's sort of surreal and with fantasy. I love to watch movies like that, so I was excited to be a part of something like that -- I never have been before."
