Nick Diaz news reveals the former UFC welterweight's appearances in UFC events despite his strained relationship with this former promotion company. The appearances has prompted UFC President Dana White to offer him a fight although he retired from the sport.

The 30-year old fighter from Stockton, California announced his "retirement" from mixed martial arts competition after his title fight against Georges St. Pierre in March 2013.

Right after the fight, he announced that he was walking away from the sport, saying, "he was tired of getting banged up." Nick Diaz lost via a unanimous decision, in a grueling yet dominant performance by Georges St. Pierre.

Since his retirement, he has been spotted in various events, most recently at the Manny Pacquiao vs. Tim Bradley fight in April, and in the Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana fight in May.

He has also been appearing in a number of UFC pay-per-view events. Nick Diaz was among the crowd during the UFC 171 weigh-ins in March, and was also in attendance during the past weekend's UFC 173 event.

UFC President Dana White spoke about the elder Diaz brother's appearance during weekend's event in the UFC 173 post-fight media scrum, which was also described by one reporter as "the guy who retires but still comes to the office."

"Nick and I are talking," White told the media.

Nick Diaz and Dana White's relationship is not exactly a smooth one, and it has been exposed for the public to see for a number of years already.

But for his part, the UFC executive has maintained a professional attitude towards his dealings with both Nick, and his younger brother Nate.

"Dealing with the Diaz brothers is very unique," White continued. "I like those guys, they're fun for me, too, as a fight fan. But it's up to them. If they want to fight, they can fight."

Dana White has even left an offer for Nick Diaz to fight Matt "The Immortal" Brown, who recently put on an impressive performance against Erick Silva.

"Listen, if Nick Diaz wants to come out and fight Brown, I'll do that fight," White said in a separate interview.
