The Watch Dogs release date headlines this week's best new releases, along with titles of different genres. This week opens with games in anticipation of the smorgasbord E3 has to offer in June 9.
The cream of the crop of May, Ubisoft's most-anticipated title finally comes out on the Microsoft and Sony consoles. Gamers have the Watch Dogs release date on their sights ever since last year's E3 reveal, and leaked content has been promising, at least for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
Watch Dogs comes out today, and players have first crack at the game, evaluate if the hacking dynamics deliver up to Ubisoft's promises. The game is also available for the PC.
Krillbrite Studio is releasing Among the Sleep on the 29th, for the PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Mac. Survival horror games are staple early releases, with a few thrown in with a new console's launch. Among the Sleep takes on a different tack, though.
Among the Sleep is a first-person horror game, but trades gory graphics for psychological trauma. The game is played from the perspective of a two-year old, a horror title narrated from a different, disturbing perspective.
Endnight Games comes out with The Forest on May 30, with a laidback offering to follow up the Watch Dogs release date. The survival horror game is exclusive to the PC, and according to insider Ben Falcone, will have a narrative totally dependent on gameplay and visuals. Text and audio aren't part of the experience.
The Stomping Land comes out on May 30, a survival game from developer SuperCrit. Exclusive to the PC and strictly multiplayer, an offline mode is still available to offer a single-player experience. The title will also launch in Early Access (onlysp.com).
There's a lull of releases for the week, to which Ubisoft compensates with the Watch Dogs release date.
