Flappy Bird Online Unblocked: Fans of Flappy Bird will be pleased to learn that the game will return in August, according to reports
The history of flappy bird has been followed curiously by fans around the world. But the creator Dong Nguyen has kept a low profile not giving the media a chance to photograph him or write about him. He did succumb to a Rolling Stone interview, saying that he did not want any publicity from the game.
Dong Nguyen, who said he took down Flappy Bird because it was addictive, warned that players should heed the warnings of addiction and obsessive play, while playing Flappy Bird. He continued to say that there is a multi-player component to the game and that he is working on making the game less addictive.
No details about how he is going to do that were mentioned.
A report on Latin Post described Dong's reason for taking the game down, "Nguyen withdrew "Flappy Bird" from Google Play and Apple's App Store... His decision was reportedly motivated by the increasing consequences of gaming addiction among those who had gotten hooked to the game. The developer insisted that he created "Flappy Bird" as a form of relaxation and not to make obsessive players for of it."
Although Dong decided that the ethical solution to bring the lives of players to normality was to pull the game from stores, he reassessed the situation and wants to bring the game back with a warning. Tracing the history of the game, on February 9th, Dong told the world that he's done with Flappy Bird and that he's sorry: He tweeted 'I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down as I cannot take this anymore'.
Many gamers thought the Vietnamese developer had pulled the game in order to increase popularity. Since February, Dong had not commented on the game because he himself was a victim of staying up long nights and ignoring daily routines in an attempt to score higher on Flappy Bird.
Taking a hiatus from the game, Nguyen said he was relieved when the game was taken down. He felt that gamers would use their time more wisely and creatively with the game unavailable for play.
Initially, Apple had warned that Dong would not be able to use the original 'Flappy Bird' name since he had taken it down. However, Nguyen will try to rename the game or tweak the game to get approval for placing it on Apple's App store. Alternatively, Google Play does not have this restriction, so Nguyen can restrict himself to just Android Flappy Bird games.
