Georges St-Pierre news is up and it features "GSP's" agreement with Dana White's statements about how today is an exciting time to watch UFC welterweights fight.

The former long-time UFC welterweight champion, who just turned 33 years old several days ago, spoke to MMA Junkie about his thoughts on the current crop of 170-pound fighters.

"It is the most exciting time, because they have a lot of different contenders," St-Pierre explained. "It's a lot of new guys - they're not veterans. I mean some of them are veterans that were not there before, so it's a lot of new faces."

Georges St-Pierre is undoubtedly one of the most dominant champions that fought at the 170-pound division. Since the infancy of his championship reign in 2006, he has faced the best and most dangerous fighters such as Matt Serra, B.J. Penn, and Hall-of-Famer Matt Hughes.

"GSP" last saw action in the octagon in November 2013 against current champion Johny Hendricks. Although he did win via unanimous decision and was able to successfully defend his belt for the ninth consecutive time, Georges St-Pierre opted to take an indefinite leave from the sport.

When asked about a date for a comeback, Georges St-Pierre left an open-ended reply.

"I've been doing this for a long time, since I was 19," St-Pierre answered. "I'm 33 now. When I fought (Carlos) Condit, I was very hungry. I was very happy to be there. I wanted to do it a lot. (Nick) Diaz, a little bit less.

"And the last training camp I had with (Johny) Hendricks, I didn't have the same motivation. It went down, and I need to get back to that feeling of hunger," he added.

Georges St-Pierre, however, showed that he was keen on getting back on the saddle, particularly to get the motivation back, which he admitted, has slipped away from him.

"I need to get the motivation back," St-Pierre continued. "It's hard, because it's always the same routine, the same thing. And I need to fix some things in my life to make it more efficient."

"Once everything can be done, maybe I'll come back. We'll see how it goes. But I can't say yes, I can't say no, because I just don't know right now," he said.
