Pokemon X & Y players have a goal to reach in order to be able to obtain this new colorfully patterned Vivillon. They aren't so far from reaching this goal as trades have already reached an astonishing 90M global trades and still counting, according to The Pokemon Company.
The featured pokemon is called Vivillon and it is a flying-bug type. It is said to be available in more than 15 different patterns drawn on its wings depending on your region. There is a common pattern that will be available to all players which is the "Fancy Pattern".
"Because of this characteristic, players around the world have been exchanging Vivillon via the GTS to collect all of the regional patterns," the announcement states. "This newly discovered Vivillon breaks with that tradition: it will become available to Pokémon fans across the globe once the 100 millionth Pokémon is traded via the GTS. When this enormous milestone is reached, a special distribution event will take place, enabling all players of Pokemon X or Pokemon Y to receive the Fancy Pattern Vivillon wherever they are in the world!"
The game's website will offer more details on how to capture this pokemon and add it to your unique collection once players hit the 100M trading mark. Check back regularly on us as we will be posting once they release any extra details so stick around and tell us what you think about this new Vivillon pattern.
