Manny Pacquiao news is up with Freddie Roach's new statements regarding "Pacman's" next opponent. It seems that the trainer had a change of heart with regard to his ward's next fight as he now wants Danny Garcia but is still open to a Juan Manuel Marquez rematch.

In his most recent conversation with BoxingScene.com, Freddie Roach is now interested in a fight against undefeated junior welterweight Danny "Swift" Garcia.

"They asked me who I'd want to fight next and I said well, I'd like to fight Danny Garcia," Roach said. "I think that'd be a great fight for Pacquiao. So they're throwing that at me."

"I don't know exactly what's going to happen but I think his next fight will be in China but opponent wise, we haven't locked anyone down yet," he added.

The one main quandary for this Manny Pacquiao news is that "Pacman" fights for Top Rank, while Danny Garcia fights for rival promotion Golden Boy. But with the end of the "cold war" between the two boxing promotion giants, it is likely for the fight to materialize in the near future.

Freddie Roach concurs with the idea, adding that "a good deal is a good deal."

"It would bring back boxing to the best sport in the world," Roach continued. "It's what we need and all this feud in between is all bullsh*t."

"A good deal is a good deal. That's my outlook. Personalities shouldn't get involved in negotiations," he said.

Talks of a fifth bout between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez also surfaced after Marquez's recent win over Mike Alvarado. But while the mere idea has been squashed by "El Dinamita's" camp, Freddie Roach seemed to be open about the idea.

"That's something I would like," Roach answered. I thought Marquez looked good in the [Alvarado] fight. He fought well. He looked a lot stronger than he did in his last fight but I don't hear any negotiations going on about that fight."
