Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin seem to be closer after the split. According to Huffington Post, the Coldplay lead singer's feelings for his estranged wife are still strong and reconciliation could be on the cards.

E! News reported that the two have announced that they were calling it quits in March, but it seems like the two have been closer than ever since consciously "uncoupling." The duo made it clear when they revealed they were splitting that they were doing so on good terms, saying, "We have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."

According to Huffington Post, since the breakup, Martin is thought to have felt less stressed about his and Gwyneth's relationship, and therefore seen his marriage in a new light.

"Gwyneth and Chris always vowed to stay friends for their children when they split, but they have been getting on better than ever in the last few weeks. After they announced they were splitting up, all the pressure was off and Chris has really enjoyed spending time with Gwyneth," an insider revealed to British magazine Grazia.

"He is still heartbroken and he has realized just how much he misses her and what he stands to lose if the divorce goes ahead. They're still living together in Malibu, and there are still feelings there, so there is a chance they could salvage this. He's been thinking about his future with Gwyneth more and more, and she has said if he works at it, she might be able to give it another chance too," the source added.

The two seem more comfortable than ever around each other after the split. E! News listed some proofs that the used-to-be couple are getting better together ater the breakup.

E! learned that they had taken their kids on a family vacation in the Bahamas.

Weeks later the Goop founder was spotted leaving an almost two-hour dinner with Martin at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica.

The duo "laughed and shared some wine" during their meal before sneaking out the back around 10 p.m.

And even though they no longer live together, they shared a car on their way to their respective homes.

Paltrow and Martin were then spotted just weeks later grabbing a late bite to eat at West Hollywood hotel Chateau Marmont.

And left in the same car again but both appeared to have taken off their wedding bands for the evening outing.

Paltrow, 41, and Martin married in December 2003, and have two children - Apple, 9, and Moses, 8.
