Chris Brown is in jail no longer. The 'Loyal' singer tweeted, "Thank you GOD" after being released from jail.
The troubled singer was released from a Los Angeles County jail just after midnight on Monday June 2, a Los Angeles Sheriff's Department representative confirmed to CNN.
Brown had been in jail since March. Brown admitted to violating his probation for his arrest last year for an alleged assault in Washington. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James Brandlin sentenced Brown 365 days in jail after he admitted probation violation, but the singer was given credit for serving 234 days because of time already spent in rehab and jail time.
Brown and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were accused of beating a man who tried to take a photo of Brown last October in Washington. Brown has been charged with misdemeanor assault and the case is still pending.
The singer soon took to his twitter, writing, "Humbled and Blessed," and "Back to the Music and the Fans."
Brown's probation is extended through Jan. 23, 2015. He will be required to submit to random drug testing at least three times per week, as well as participate in psychiatric counseling two times a week and attend outpatient therapy at least twice a week. The 'Loyal' singer must stay off marijuana, including for medical use. Court documents have said that the singer has bipolar disorder.
Brown must also complete 1,000 additional hours of community service he was given last August when his probation was revoked following a car accident.
He's due back in court Aug. 13 for a progress report.
Brown's girlfriend, model Karrueche Tran, celebrated his release from prison by posting a photo collage on her Instagram; she juxtaposed photos of the couple with photos of John Lennon and Yoko Ono in similar poses.
T-Pain recently told MTV News that Chris Brown stood by him when he was suffering with depression for two years. The rapper said, "I did it for him. I did it for everybody, but, you know, Chris the most, because he was going through so much with all the backlash and stuff he was going through. And I still called him, hit him up, visit him in the studio, checked on him, make sure was OK, went by his house, just popped up in places that he was."
