Fans of Minecraft have seen how enjoyable it is to explore this world when it was launched on the Xbox 360 and PS3 and can expect a similar thing coming to the Xbox One and PS4. The next-gen consoles are about to get their version of this open world sandbox game which is currently being developed by 4J Studios.

Now, fans waiting to go next-gen with Minecraft can get a better look of the game as screenshots of the upcoming versions have found its way on the internet. It was shared on 4J Studios Twitter account and we can see a big difference in power.

The game developer compared the Xbox One version with its predecessor, Xbox 360. The same applies for the PS4 which was compared to the PS3. Just by looking at the screenshots, one should be able to notice that there is more viewing distance on the next-gen consoles.

On top of that, there is a widely known fact that the next-gen Minecraft will be bigger in world sizes. Of course, this won't be infinite like how it is on the PC.

Finally, it seems that 4J Studios is trying to recommend the players to make the jump from the current-gen consoles to the next-gen. The game developer has made it possible for the players to transfer saved worlds into the next-gen Minecraft which save the hassle of restarting the game.

Paddy Burns, the 4J Studio's CTO, said that "We will be looking to take advantage of each platform, where it makes sense for the game".

For example PlayStation 4 uses DualShock touch pad for browsing menus, as well as in-game Creative Menu. Since PS Vita has a touchscreen, we think that 4J Studios is thinking to add it on the Minecraft game.

According to Burns, Minecraft will have a 1.3.2 version on the new-generation consoles, "plus a few features brought forward from later PC versions".

Burns said that 4J Studios will continue to add new features across all platforms after they release Minecraft for Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita.
