Mark Wahlberg may be starring in the movie Daddy's Home with Will Ferrell.
Horrible Bosses 2 directors Sean Anders and John Morris are in discussion to direct the production, which would start filming in the fall. Anders and Morris stepped up to direct 'Horrible Bosses 2' after they scripted the sleeper hit 'We're The Millers.'
'Daddy's Home' looked like it was going to happen last year with 'Dodgeball' star Vince Vaughn and Ferrell, with 'Tropic Thunder' director Etan Cohen at the helm. However Vaughn's involvement is said to have come to an end when Tropic Thunder's Etan Cohen, who was attached to direct, abandoned the project.
Wahlberg, who just did 'Transformers: Age Of Extinction for Paramount' and Ferrell already starred together in the 2010 hit movie 'The Other Guys.' 'The Other Guys' received generally positive reviews and made nearly $223 million at the box office under a $100million budget.
'Daddy's Home' casts Ferrell as a mild-mannered radio executive who wants to become the best stepfather he can be to his wife's two children. Complications ensue when their freewheeling, freeloading real dad (Wahlberg) arrives and forces the stepfather to compete for the kids' affections.
Wahlberg recently returned from Australia, where he was promoting 'Transformers: The Age Of Extinction' also starring Kelsey Grammer, John Goodman, Nicola Peltz and Stanley Tucci.
The 'Transformers' actor said about Australia to the MailOnline, "The only thing that I dislike [about the country] is that I haven't been able to do anything other than work! I'm only here until Friday, so I'm probably just going to see the inside of a hotel room and a lot of journalists." However the actor did hint that he would meet up with Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott later that night.
Wahlberg replaced Shia LeBouf as the leading character in the fourth film in the Michael Bay franchise, "Transformers: The Age Of Extinction."
"Transformers: The Age Of Extinction" will hit theaters on June 27!
