The crop of E3 2014 Xbox One games has become more appealing now that Microsoft decided to drop the Kinect bundle option,

A very competitive price point for the Xbox One puts the console at equal odds with the PlayStation 4. For a time, Microsoft was bent on pushing the Kinect as a non-negotiable accessory to the console, suffering losses in sales as consequence.

The decision to make the Kinect optional was Microsoft making a statement, it's shifted focused on a broader market of gamers. The Kinect remains a significant part of the Microsoft market plan, to be furthered once the Xbox One finds its legs in a Sony market.

The E3 2014 unveiling follows through with Microsoft's goal of providing a wider range of games, to the tune of 22 new titles to be exact. There's a decent variety of genres, from expected titles Halo and Call of Duty, to new installments to successful sequels, like Tomb Raider.

Overall, the E3 2014 Xbox One games don't disappoint, in variety, quality, and quantity. As expected, one of the many gems offered by the booth was Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The game is multiplatform, and the Xbox One port showcased its campaign story mode, set in a futuristic city pestered by legged tanks and flying drones.

Forza Horizon 2 is one of the more popular racers coming out on the new Xbox. Forza Motorsport 5's Drivatar feature is carried through intact, and gamers get to experience changing weather patterns mid-race, a first in the Forza Horizon series.

Familiar titles like Assassin's Creed: Unity and Dragon Age: Inquisition are also showcased on the Xbox One. Both are slated for October release, and the Dragon Age installment comes with an Xbox-first "premiere content." Lesser-known titles like Evolve, Sunset Overdrive, Fantasia: Music Evolved, Fable Legends, and Project Spark add variety to a solid crop of E3 2014 Xbox One games (tomsguide.com).
