Early in the game, Igor Akinfeev let go a shot by Lee Keun-ho. The routine shot went over the line to give South Korea a lead in Cuiaba. Substitute Aleksandr Kerzhakov scored a quick equaliser seizing his opportunity. A mostly Brazilian

crowd jeered the Russian team. But they have bigger problems now as South Koreans make a fiery start.

South Korea dominated the midfield and brought their imagination into the game. Lee Keun-ho came on as a sub, and had posession in the center of the penalty box, taking a chance on target. But the ball had little power and went into Akinfeev's hands. And then went right through the goalie's hands and went over the line.

Kerzhakov scored an equalizer for Russia after S. Korea failed to steer away a strike from Kokorin.
