Prince Felix of Luxembourg and wife Princess Claire introduced the royal baby of Luxembourg, Princess Amalia, to the world, as the family was first seen in their public outing when they exited the Maternity Grand-Duchesse Charlotte Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg, E! Online said.

In an official statement released by the palace, the royal baby of Luxembourg Princess Amalia was born in June 15, weighing 2.95 kg and measured 50cm at birth.

Prince Felix and Princess Claire showed to the world their firstborn who was wearing a white dress and a matching baby cap. She was fast asleep as her mother carried her in the arm.

The day after, Hello Magazine released the first baby pictures of the family courtesy of first-time grandmother Grand Duchess Maria Teresa.

The proud parents showed their smiles in front of the camera while the royal baby of Luxembourg Princess Amalia yawned and smiled. She was wearing a regal pink printed dress while Princess Claire wore an immaculate cream outfit.

In another photo, the royal princess was seen smiling and her eyes glimmers in between snaps of photographers capturing the adorable baby.

The newborn's name Amalia Gabriela Maria Teresa of Nassau is a tribute to Prince Felix and Princess Claire's respective mothers Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and Gabriele Lademacher.

The official statement also said that Prince Felix was by Princess Claire's side when the baby was born and that the mother and child are doing well.

"The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess as well as Mr and Mrs Lademacher and their families expressed their best wishes and joy at the happy news," the statement added.

Prince Felix of Luxembourg and wife Princess Claire married in a civil ceremony in September last year. They were married in Princess Claire's hometown in Frankfurt, Germany and was followed by a traditional wedding three days later.

The royal wedding was attended by Prince Felix's parents, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg along with other 350 guests at the Basilique Sainte Marie-Madeleine in Saint-Maximin-La-Sainte-Baume.
