Miesha Tate says she will kill her boyfriend Bryan Caraway in his sleep if he hurst a woman after allegations of him elbowing fellow bantamweight Cat Zingano during a pre-fight weigh-ins.
Cat Zingano fought Miesha Tate in April 2013 at the Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale, where she won via third round TKO. But during their weigh-ins a couple of days prior, Zingano accused Bryan Caraway of elbowing her in the head.
"I saw [Caraway] all week, I smiled and was respectful," Zingano relayed in a 2013 interview. "I get Miesha and not being BFF's fight week, I'm not fighting her to make friends.
"Brian smiled back in my face then elbowed me in the head at weigh-ins," she continued. "I was pissed. I considered him in that same respect. I am a fighter all the same, but that was dirty and cheap to do to anyone, let alone a girl."
During the EA Sports UFC Times Square Takeover event in New York, Miesha Tate defended Bryan Caraway and denied that the whole confrontation ever happened.
"I don't believe it happened at all, but if it did, it was someone else," Tate explained. "At the very, very worst, maybe he bumped her as he walked by. But it was not intentional."
"He didn't just go 'Bam!' I mean, c'mon," she continued. "What we have to gain by that, except being called a woman beater?"
Miesha Tate spoke more about Bryan Caraway, adding that she will never condone his actions if he did hurt a woman.
"I know Bryan," she continued. "Obviously, I would never be with someone who's a woman beater. I'm a pretty f****** strong-headed woman and there's no way."
"I would kill him in his sleep if he ever thought of it," Tate said. "I would straight up kill him. People saying that blows my mind."
