Robert Guerrero wants his next fight to be against either Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather Jr.

"The Ghost" may have an upcoming bout on Saturday against Yoshihiro Kamegai, but he spoke about his intentions for his next fight with Marcos Villegas of The Boxing Channel.

"Everybody knows after my layoffs, I come back and fight the hardest guy out there, jump up two weight classes, do the crazy things," Guerrero explained. "It's time to come out, shake out cobwebs, and get back on my game."

"The Ghost" last fought in May 2013, against Floyd Mayweather for "Money's" first out of his six fights as part of the top pound-for-pound boxer's $200 million dollar deal with Showtime.

His disappointing and lone career loss to "Money" made Robert Guerrero want a rematch for his next fight. And at this stage of his career, "The Ghost" says he is only looking for the big fights.

"If I could, I'd be fighting Floyd Mayweather Saturday night, but that ain't gonna happen," Guerrero explained. "It's getting yourself back in that position to make big fights. That's what the fans want. The fans wanna see mega-fights."

Robert Guerrero's desire for more prominent opponents for his next fight may just be timely since the looming end of the "cold war" between rival promotions Top Rank and Golden Boy.

This has opened up the possibility of another potential mega bout against Manny Pacquiao, which "The Ghost" is also open to taking.

"If I could get that fight, that'd be great," he said. "I think the fans would love to see it, two lefties battling it out. Two punchers."

Golden Boy Promotions, which "The Ghost" is fighting under, has been experiencing major shake-ups as of late. Robert Guerrero also spoke about what he thinks his future will be, in terms of promotion companies, and as of the moment, everything is uncertain.

"Right now, everything's still up in the air," Guerrero said. "My management is taking care of all that. I'm just happy to be back in the ring, taking care of business, and I'll leave it at that."
